What is on the CD
Too much to fully mention. It does have on all the Archimedes World cover discs, inclusive of the contents from their first (and only) CD. The software from this original version has been tested on my SA RPC to see if they work. Demos, games and clipart galore as well.
Anything commercial?
Sure is. Computer Concepts have let me put on MacFSLight, Compression and AudioWorks. Clares Micro Supplies have allowed their wonderful Rhapsody 2 software to be included. Acorn allowed on the contents of the Clan discs.
Copyright status of the CD
With the exceptions of the Demos and Commercial directories, everything else on the CD is either Freeware, Public Domain or Shareware. Those within the Demos and Commercial directories remain © to the companies who have allowed the software on. These pieces cannot be copied, distributed in any way or hacked without the prior consent of the companies involved. Copyright also exists on the Archimedes World directories, but I've a feeling though that this was transfered to Tau Press when they bought AW.
The compilation was made by me, Paul Johnson, in April 1999.

In response to the pile of emails that has been had, the simple answer is that yes the CD can be bought overseas, but remember, the price quoted of £6.75 includes UK p&p costs. It's about a pound extra for overseas customers. For those overseas, please read the part on payment.

The Recall
Shortly after the original print was made of the CD and around 50 had been sold, I was informed that there was a problem on the CD. The exact nature of the problem meant that a recall was needed and a complete new pressing of the CD be made.
IF YOU HAVE HAD ONE OF THE CDS PRIOR TO THE 15TH JUNE (INCLUDING ANY WITH THE POSTMARK OF 15TH JUNE), PLEASE RETURN IT TO ME FOR A FULL REPLACEMENT WITH THE NEW IMPROVED VERSION OF THE DISC
Announcements have been made (after taking legal advice on the matter) on the Acorn internet newsgroups, and people should have had their recall notices by now (they were sent via the post).
If you have any questions regarding the nature of the fault and obtaining the replacement, please contact me directly and we'll sort something out for you.
Remember, the upgrade is free and you get on top of your old disc around another 20 meg of additional software. It is well worth it.
Made payable to P.F. Johnson and sent to whichever company you choose.
Contact APDL, Clares, CTA, Archive or CJE Micros. This should be used in all cases for those overseas. Getting foreign money is usually very expensive!
This is fine at the Risc OS platform shows, but should not be done at any other time. Sending cash by post is very dangerous.
